FRANCESCO ALBANO
Francesco Albano (1976) is an italian artist based in Palermo, graduated from the Fine Arts Academy of Carrara in Italy in 2000 and received the National Art Award MUIR in sculpture in 2005. His works have been displayed at solo exhibitions in Milan, Toronto, Pietrasanta and Istanbul, and group exhibitions in Europe and North and South America. Having continued his works in Istanbul between 2010 and 2015, since 2017 he is a professor at Accademia di Belle Arti Palermo. Francesco is attracted and intrigued by the human body, in his works he puts the structure in dialogue with the skin, which represents the boundary between the outside world and us, that protects and defines us. The Salò opera is inspired by the movie of Pasolini, that has the same title.
